Does this replace our nursing or EMR system?
No. FamilyCare Facility is an operations and documentation platform — not an electronic medical record, medication-administration (eMAR), or insurance-billing system. It organizes how your facility runs and complements clinical care; it doesn't perform clinical charting or prescribing.
Does it work on tablets and phones?
Yes — it's web-based and fully responsive, so it works on computers, tablets, and phones. Senior centers can run the check-in kiosk on a tablet at the door and scan members' QR badges with the camera. And if the Wi-Fi drops, staff can keep logging wellness checks and notes — entries save on the device and sync automatically when you're back online.
How long does setup take?

Can we move off paper or import existing data?

Can we track wellness and care information?
Senior centers can capture non-clinical wellness observations. For group homes, structured resident medical profiles and care plans are available — but they stay locked until your organization completes its own healthcare-compliance review and chooses to enable them.
Can families stay informed?
Yes — a permission-based family portal lets approved family members see updates, activities, and announcements, and message the care team. Families see only what you choose to share.

How is our data protected?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated per facility (one facility can never see another's data), protected by role-based access (least privilege), and preserved in an append-only, tamper-evident audit trail.
Is FamilyCare Facility HIPAA compliant?
We follow strong security practices — encryption, access controls, audit logging, and per-facility isolation. Formal HIPAA compliance, including Business Associate Agreements, is on our roadmap for clinical/PHI use; until that's in place, clinical features remain locked. Non-clinical senior-center operations generally don't involve PHI.
Who owns our data, and can we export it?
You own your data. You can export reports and records at any time, and we never sell your information.
What about reliability and uptime?
FamilyCare Facility runs on managed, cloud infrastructure with health monitoring and automated backups, so it's available when your staff and families need it.

Can we use our own branding?
Yes — our white-label add-on puts your logo, colors, custom domain, and branded sign-in on the platform: $299 one-time setup + $49.99/month (includes up to 2 facilities), then $25/month per additional facility, capped at $299/month for your whole portfolio.
